Kirk Clarke’s areas of practice are Estate Planning, Wills, Trusts, and Probate. Mr. Clarke is admitted to the Vermont and Connecticut Bars. He is also a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Vermont. He has worked for over fifteen years as an Estate Tax Attorney for the Internal Revenue Service in Albany, New York, and Burlington, Vermont.
Mr. Clarke received his B.S. from Wake Forest University and his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law. He is admitted to the State Bars of Vermont and Connecticut and is a member of the Chittenden County Bar Association, Vermont Bar Association, and American Bar Association, Real Estate and Probate section.
Mr. Clarke is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the Vermont Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Clarke is a frequent lecturer on estate planning and business matters and has co-authored Protecting Estate Assets from Creditors and the IRS in Vermont, National Business Institute; Transfer Taxes and Estate Planning, University of Vermont; Estate Planning for the Elderly Client in Vermont, National Business Institute; Retirement and Estate Planning, University of Vermont; Income Taxation of Vermont Corporations, National Business Institute; Vermont Elder Law: Taking Control of the Planning Process, National Business Institute; Choice of Business Entity, University of Vermont; Understanding Trusts, University of Vermont.
