Amy Escott

Attorney

Amy began her professional career as a woodworker and small business owner before pursuing a longstanding interest in law through Vermont’s four-year Law Office Study Program. She completed her legal apprenticeship under the Honorable Judge Thomas G. Walsh, where she gained extensive experience in land use and estate planning matters.
Following her clerkship, Amy spent two years with the Vermont Land Trust, where she further developed her real estate expertise and worked extensively with conservation easements. After being admitted to the Vermont Bar in 2016, she founded Escott Legal Services, building a thriving real estate practice and successfully closing hundreds of
transactions with a personal, accessible approach.

In the summer of 2025, Amy had a chance meeting with Beth Demas, a longtime real estate attorney and founder of Clarke, Demas & Baker, at a legal seminar. They quickly discovered a shared philosophy and commitment to client service. That connection led Amy to join the firm as an associate attorney in the fall of 2025, where she continues to
practice with the same individualized and client-centered approach.
Outside of her legal work, Amy enjoys spending time outdoors—playing ice hockey, snowboarding, camping, and kayaking—as well as visiting her five nieces. She lives in Hinesburg with her wife, Tamara, and their very fluffy cat, Isabella Fuzzolini.
